As a combination of five seeds ground and blended with honey, Wu Zi Yan Zong Wan is a sour-flavoured, primarily astringent formula used to stabilise and prevent further loss of Kidney energy, in particular the Jing, or Essence. In Chinese Medicine, the Kidneys govern the reproductive function, and the concept of Jing relates to our fertility, or reproductive potential.

Wu Zi Yan Zong Wan has demonstrated anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective and anti-apoptosis ability, along with a regulatory effect on osmotic pressure and amino acid metabolism in rat-model oligospermia, and blood-testis barrier dysfunction.

This formula is primarily used for improving sperm quality.
In cases of Kidney deficiency, one’s eyes may appear dull, or lacking in Shen. This formula can also help to brighten the eyes and may improve vision.
