Ci Wu Jia (AA) - 刺五加 - Acanthopanax Root (Radix Acanthopanacis)
There are two types of Ci Wu Jia (AA) - 刺五加 - Acanthopanax Root Bark (Cortex Acanthopanacis). One is the true species and one is considered false.
To identify the true species you can see that the inner section of the root is darker and filled in, the false species the darker inner section is not present.
