This Yuan Zhi has passed our independent lab testing for aflatoxins.
Aside from pesticide contamination, there are three things important to us when we source Yuan Zhi. One, Yuan Zhi must be treated with Gan Cao (Licorice) to avoid side effects. Two, the center of the root should be removed as it engenders heat. Three, Yuan Zhi is particularly subject to aflatoxin contamination. We are happy to present this product which has been tested for aflatoxins (and passed), had its root-center removed and is properly treated with Gan Cao.
