This ancient formula, recorded in the Ben Can Gang Mu (Compendium of Materia Medica or Great Pharmacopoeia) completed in 1578, has been revived by Empirical Health for use in the modern day clinic.

Prescription 28-18-1: Prescription of Zizhi Wan (Pill of Purple Lucid Ganoderma): Good for treating consumptive disease with shortness of breath, distended and painful chest and ribs, cold extremities, or with a repeated parched mouth and restlessness, dim vision, abdominal pain and anorexia. This formula is good for pacifying the mind and protecting the Jing.
Originally known as a "Honey Pill", at Empirical Health prefer the term "Honey Pearl". This name reflects the dedication of time and effort invested in crafting a distinctive and valuable pearl, in keeping with the traditions of classical texts.
