Each formula targets different part of the lower abdomen. The doses and herbs in these formulas cross over extremely well (actually perfectly) and so we say that they have great empirical history of being used together.

We use Restore the Cycle during the entire cycle in one of two ways: firstly at high doses (45 pearls). Just used once on the first day of a woman's cycle, must be cooked in water (150ml boiled down to 100ml) and taken only once. The patient waits to see if they have "blood descent". This means that the patient should experience lots of discharge and is recommended to not do anything on this day, and just rest. If there is no blood descent after taken the high dose, they should repeat once more. If again there is nothing, then they should not take it again until the first day of the next cycle.

This can be repeated, however, it is rare that it needs to be done more than twice.

The second option is to approach it with a gentle approach - the dose is dependant on the patients presentation, signs and symptoms. The dose can be taken (typically between 5-10 pearls) cooked in water, once daily before food. This is a gentle approach that does take longer, but it has benefits, in that the doses can be adjusted based on presentation. The doses can start off at a high dose of 10 per day and reduced based on what the response is.

Adults: Before meals, place 5-10 honey pearls in 150ml of water, gently boil until 100ml remains, drink. Repeat 2-3 times daily, or as otherwise directed by your health care professional.
